“A HEALTHY mind should be in a healthy body,” said Councillor Bongani Dlamini after an Annual Ward 46 Councillor’s Soccer Tournament. Four sections under ward 46 battled it out at ground number One in KwaMashu with Section E and G making it through to the finals.

Both teams displayed brilliant football which resulted in a two all draw within the 90 minutes of the game. It went to penalties with section E winning 4-3 taking home a sheep, R500 and a trophy.
“Every year I host these games to keep the youth busy and away from drugs, alcohol and unprotected sex.

The games have been growing every year. Some of the boys who played in these games are now playing in the professional level,” said Dlamini, emphased that the main aim of the games is recreation and development. Bongani Majola, captain of Section E appreciated the team’s effort.
